形態特徵

• Plants without stems. Pseudobulbs ovoid or globose, ca. 2 cm across.
• Leaves 3-5, petiolate, lanceolate, 50-80 cm long, 10-15 cm wide, strongly plicate, acute.
• Racemes erect, stout, to 100 cm tall, with many scale-like sheaths toward base; bracts large, elliptic, 4.5 cm long, deciduous. Flowers 10-20, whitish outside, pink inside, 8 cm in diam.; sepals spreading, lanceolate or oblong, 4-5 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, acute at apex, contracted at base; petals oblanceolate, as long as sepals but narrower; lip embracing column, 5 cm long, obtriangular when expanded, 4-5 cm wide, apex 3-lobed, undulate, villose inside, lateral lobes rounded, midlobe truncate, emarginate, spur 1 cm long; column ca. 2.5 cm long, dilated at apex, narrowed downward, glabrous abaxially; anther cordate, 4.5 mm long, hirsute outside; pollinia flattened ovoid, 2 mm long, connected by broad caudicles; stigma semiorbicular; rostellum triangular, 2 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : broad leaved forests at low elevations throughout and Lanyu Is.
• 世界 : India, Sri Lanka and southern China, through Thailand and Malaysia to Indonesia, Australia and the Pacific islands.
